Keas are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and most importantly, making new friends.

Children join a Kea Club for many reasons. It might be they have heard great things from their friends about all the things Keas gets up to every week. Perhaps parents or carers are keen for them to join. Whatever their reasons, Keas is great for the development of younger children and leads into the rest of Scouting.

Keas interact with nature and learn to share through co-operation and teamwork.  They engage in active and quiet games, stories, creative crafts, play-acting and singing.  Keas share a motto: ‘I share, I care, I discover, I grow.’

The Kea section is designed around Year 1 to Year 3 at school.
